Jul 2014
remember the days
of our summer romance
and of how our young hearts
did excitedly dance
those times we spent
by the sandy shore
we'd steal a kiss
and sometimes more

love was ours
a love which stayed

our fondness began
to fully blossom
as the topaz of the waves
held us in their *****
yes I do recall
that so very well
you and I were
falling under love's spell

love was ours
a love which stayed

together we've traveled
since those days
our love has endured
in such exquisite ways
the summer breeze
gifted us its boon
a splendid never ending
beach-side honeymoon

love was ours
a love which stayed
