You wore dandelions
in your braided hair &
immersed yourself
in buckets of patchouli,
titillating my soul,
you made my heart
a prisoner
to your seductive
feminine-ways.

I loved the way
you decorated
your denim vest
with those brass tacks,
the pattern of a star
was so fitting for you,
if you only knew.

Every night
I awaken to see
your beautiful eyes
haunting me
from the heavens above,
their glow still blinking
pretty little lies.

O sweet zephyr,
how does one write to a ghost
with so many tears in his own eyes?

O pray tell my gentle *****,
I'd cry a million words or more
to have you back by my side,
whispering those untruths
in my burning ears again.

O my lovely apparition,
please give me back my heart,
the one you took,
to play with
amongst the stars!
