I wished to delineate
Myself in old age

Fingers fumbled, trembled
                   I could not escape reality
To paint with honest words
                                      my nerve I held

Wrinkles on the face
                             Sightless eyes
              Ears catching nothingness
                             Mouth shallow
                  Bones creaking
                                            Legs stumbling
                             Back stooping

                    I shuddered at the image
