What Can We Do (Cry For An Eternity)
A mantis
whispered to me
from between
the creaking shoots,
telling me of heartbreak
& what can I do,
when I say goodbye,
my eyes fill with
the mystery of the ages,
& what can you do,
but cry for an eternity.
(Only wise insects know these things.)
