I'm lying here alone in my
comfy cold bunk
thinking about all the things
I've done wrong
over the years,
wondering how I got here.

It seems so strange,
I've never been in
a room full of sleeping dudes.
Their snoring
brings me comfort,
knowing I'm surrounded
by trained killers
is very satisfying.

But if there's a lover in the group,
it could be problematic,
'cause I don't swing that way.

Still, he's my brother-in-arms,
no harm, no foul...
I just hope he stays asleep,
I'm tired & I don't feel
like starting a family fight
with a sleeping soldier boy.
