I heard about Adam.
I heard about Eve.
I heard about Noah and the animals.
I read Genesis to the very end.

I read about David.
I read about Bathsheba.
I read about Cain and Abel.
I read deeply the scriptures.

I read about God.
That everything was created by him.
And nothing can be accomplished without knowing him.
I read about Moses and Aaron and Amos.

I read about Ruth.
I read about De'borah.
I read about Mary of various kind.
I read deeply about the scriptures.

I was taught by the ministers.
I was taught by the evangelists.
I was taught by the teachers.
To the point I knew, what God required of us.

But more than those and others within the book.
I read about Jesus having the ability to resist the devil at every turn.
That he did everything in the name of the highest father.

Yes, I read and learned all this from the Holy Bible.

Many can call it by various names.
Change the importance people names around.
Still the message is the same.

And the truth would still be that without God you're nothing.
Except a soul seeking salvation.
