It was late evening time
The Moon was waiting in line
For the Sun to move its way
But the Sun wanted to keep the day

An argument ensued
Between him and the Moon
It all started over who
Had more in life to do

The Sun he did scorn
I keep the people warm
Lighting up the darkest morn
You think that you do more?

The Moon came back in reply
I romanticize the night
And give to lovers their light
I even control the tide

The Sun was not impressed
As he puffed up his fiery chest
If that my friend is all your best
Perhaps you really need a rest

The Moon beamed back a smile
Said I'll be back after a while
Came back with a gazillion friends
All of the Stars to lend a hand

Without another word to be said
The Sun went off to bed
