There came a time where not much mattered,,, any more
We were at war
Toothpaste ads. A favorite band
A new type of car
These things meant little
Due
to the war
All were fighting
in local  neighborhoods
Not to mention
on distant shores
We were,, at war
Boats filled with poison
Neighbors spewing hate
Opinions ignored
Only one side is right
In war
Laughing at the opposition
Glad that they were killed
God bless brother Charlie
and the blood that was spilled
Being at war
How do you have a country
That's splitting at the seams
Not together under old glory
Nothing good remains
While at war
