It was only my aim—
to bring two hearts together
to let them live joyfully
for they are kind souls.
who once let their dreams shatter
for no fault of their own…!

I hoped—
and their families hoped
and joy wrapped itself
around every corner
Everything was on track
until a crack appeared—
born of fear, fear of past failures
and above all, the doubt
if two souls could truly bond as one!

Why must it be so?
Again, the gloom descends
across brightened faces
And I wonder—
Was I wrong to try?
Are they not meant to be?
Or is destiny still weaving?
A thread that I can't see?

Yet, hoping for magic
Like a light through the darkness…!!
