Today it is Appreciate
It was surrounded by my Grand Father bless his soul
He wanted success for me
He wanted to have where he didn’t
It was the typewriting keyboard being my introduction becoming production
Typing was going to be my bread and butter
My Grand Father covered two theories being typing and the use of the Thesaurus
Hands on dock of the typewriter
Finger type here and there up the ladder
My Grand Father had me practice typing 4 hours every day
I protested it, but my Grand Father saw a need in life if I was going to succeed
My fingers got accustomed to the keyboard and my mind got focused to the mission at hand
Alpha and extending sentences with some errors at first then gradually being more accurate
The Thesaurus being my professor in start being elevation into intellectual boundaries
My Grand Father being of business in Mind, Body and Spirit
Success did come through typing
Determination virtue my high mark
Years of cultivation to master
Fruit of my labor to savor
My Grand Father being my number one fan
“Succeed until fulfilled” my Grand Father’s words
Look back as a reflection in moving forward
A Grandpa’s hopes and aspirations for me
Beginning having no end
Believing having no pretend
My Grand Father’s legacy extended
Before he died, he said, “I am going to remember this Old Man”
