a long time ago many miles away
a baby was born in a manger lay
three wise came to visit following a star
with gifts for the child they brought from a far

the baby was called jesus a messiah he would be
who became a saviour of humanity
people gathered round to listen to his speech
sermons to the people jesus he would teach

thats how christmas started many years ago
a child born in stable whos name the world would now
his name it will go on never fade away
a name we will remember every christmas day
