The moon is conflicted,
Her head aches from thinking,
Her heart pains in longing,
For she cannot be with her beloved,
She cannot hold him or be held,
Indeed she cannot even meet his eyes,
One of her closest approach her,
But this time at her they yell,
But oh what has she done,
Is she not human like you and I,
Does she not light the sky for us,
So that the terrors are chased,
And to aid us in sight,
But all this is forgotten,
Because of one small mistake,
Perhaps we never deserved the moon,
For indeed we've made her heart ache.
