Roadside Crosses

Sometimes I get to feeling guilty
When things are going alright
Because I know there’s so many people
Without a place to stay at night

I feel so sad when I see a criminal in
Handcuffs and chains
Because I know they’ve ruined the
Future of the life that remains

If only they had known the truth in the
Bible or about the Dead Sea Scrolls
Maybe this world would be a better place
Without so many of the lost Souls

I’ll never understand why a Man
Feels he has to make a Woman cry
Nor will I ever understand War and
Why so many innocent people have to die

And I always get choked up when I think
About all the people and their losses
When I’m driving down the road past
A cemetery or those Roadside Crosses
