I wish
as I drift that
I could catch a whiff
of the dreams that haunt your morrow
right here, right now to sing the nighttime sorrow
ringing in my ears in these tired sleepless moments
when your silence crashes with painful echoes
your distant soul still reaching close
to bind me evermore
to a rejected
wish
