The silence
is louder than any goodbye
a place once filled with joy
now aches with the weight of absence.
Your laughter linger in the air,
an echo trapped between walls,
and I,
helpless,
trace shadows where your face once lived.
Love does not end with leaving
it unravels slowly,
thread by thread,
from the places you touched,
from the words you never said.

it is the emptiness that remains open,
a hollow doorway where I still wait,
believing one day
you may walk through again.
For even silence can be broken,
even the night gives way to dawn,
and somewhere between sorrow and longing
the heart learns to whisper
"they may return,
love may find its way back."
And so I sit with the quiet,
but not without light.
for in the hush you left behind,
hope flickers,
small yet steadfast,
like a candle guiding you home.
