names:
none in

the machine

in
spiral
digital mounds,
in

a hypogeum of
sonic masks,
      chipped at by
spears of
Light;

numbing

is the alien
unfelt, unseen;
always watching,
malicious to the
organism,
injurious
to the regular processes
of life.
It comes out in the
light.
You see it everyday.
It has a name.

Can you guess it?
