What do clouds taste like?
Are they just a puff of air?
Or do they taste like cotton candy
That I would like to have and share?
Are they tasty on the taste buds?
Can you chew them with your teeth?
Are they sweet or savory
Or are they doughy needing yeast?
Whichever way you cook them
Will they dance upon your pallet?
Will they give you indigestion?
Or are they healthy like a carrot?
And however will I pick them
Do they come in large and small?
Can I wrap them up in paper?
Can I buy them at the mall?
Maybe I should leave the clouds alone
And gaze up in all their wonder
Until the clouds all turn to gray
And there’s lightning, and there’s thunder
Then I will have a home-cooked meal
Stay cozy by the fire
And dream about what a cloud tastes like
While bogged down in the mire
