i have been a rover traveled every town
from the early morning light till the sun goes down
singing in the bars try to earn some pay
enough to rent a room somewhere i can stay

rovings  all i know sets my spirit free
wakes me up inside wakes the soul in me
drifting here and there always on the roam
oneday find a place that i can call a home

find someone to love raise a family
no more roving ways will there ever be
settle down for good do the best i can
learn to live the life of a family man
