Douter
In you go
and the water grabs you
snatches you away
A raging flood
cradles you
fist too tight
clasped around you
extinguishing
from the inside out
Full lungs and broken bones
violence loses charge
fist stops squeezing
but the damage is done
You make your way to the shore
and lay in wait for them to find you
(Elsewhere, a downpour starts, and the Earth floods once more)
i miss you
