At what point do we lose our shimmer
The glow, the laughs,
the getting to know you glimmer
Those lights on full beam,
onto an energy saving dimmer
We plod on with thoughts,
When one may become that sinner
Bright lights, colours that catch the eye
We never thought that one day we may say goodbye
Those colours fade from pink into a charcoal
When we know we've lost it all,
out fades that precious sparkle
