Time spent in darkness,
The voices in my head.
Climbing a tree,
Having a conversation with me.
Or sitting silently and listening to my thoughts.

Preparing myself for the future,
Whether it’s for Armageddon or for my math test tomorrow.
Lying upside down on the roof,
Playing three songs at once.
Sitting wide eyed,
Staring into space.

Splashing different colours on my canvas,
Even though I don’t know what I’m doing.
Watch the birds fly by,
Late nights spended alone.
Candy in a paper bag.
