Hold me now
As I walk in the forest
Barefoot and dancing
To the sounds of the forest’s foliage

Howling waves that I hear
Reaching the end of the forest
I bury my toes in the sand
And drown in the sea’s calling

I float, and almost sank
Here, hold my hand
Let’s bask in the sun
With our salt-covered skin, identities shunned

Its you and me, me and you
No names, just faces
Our souls knew
Even with nothing, I just know you, felt you…

Now I remember…
Your forest eyes, your loam colored hair
The beauty of nature, my answered prayer
You are my breath of fresh air
