{Sunflower}
Lay me out in the sun,
Feel the warmth on my skin.
Shower me,
All of your tender love and affection.
Breathe me.
Inhale,
Exhale.
The oxygen of my calm.
Now I'm locked away.
Surrounded by darkness,
Cobwebs and dust.
My scent trapped.
Soil dry,
Petals withering.
Dying in the shadows,
Away from your light.
At least I'm still your favourite flower.
Right?
A poem from a fractured mind
