I'll keep growing older
And more mediocre
As time keeps passing me by
For I've lost many skills
Of the runs and trills
I longed for all my life.

Why did I let myself atrophy?
There's plenty of reasons that it could be.
Diverted in high school, exhausted in college
The years have weathered away my knowledge.

Now here I sit, a skeleton
Of what's left of me and you.
Despite no stage, I'll turn the page
And try to learn anew.
