I’m back
Here, where I once belonged
Here, where I was young
Back when I was strong, and wide-eyed
Where I learned of love
I’m back, misty in the mist
Driving through the fog
I’m back, but those days are gone
Ah, the poetry of then
The songs of yesterday
Days of glory, of reverie
Of splendid hopes and dreams
That came true
At least for a time
Until time moved on
And so did we
I’m not sad
Just contemplating
Thankful
Moving on
Remembering the joy
I’m back, yes indeed
And driving on
