Oh how small we've begun to make You
And taken our feet and walked ourselves up to the head of the mountain, where we've named ourselves gods
We offer ourselves offerings of praise and power to satisfy ourselves until our next desire demands the fullness of our hearts
Yet forget that every beat it gives cannot me made through our strength
And how quickly the next one could be stopped by the flick of Your pinky finger.
