I am Death
Through the darkness I will go
high above and down below,
on hallowed ground I dare to tread
along your path I have been led.
I strengthen now as you grow old,
you're feeble now but much too bold
You sit upon a throne of lies,
I hunger now for your demise.
My figure shall not need a name,
I am quite clear, I have no game.
I am the keeper of your soul,
you are a fish inside my bowl.
I stand beside your bed at night,
I darken thee with pain and gripe
Do not turn away in spite,
I am in every sickened blight.
I am the chill upon the wind
I am your foe and evil friend
I am your shadow night and day
upon your soul I'll always prey.
I am Death.
