In the 1970's we moved into a spacious '50's home Where there was lots of space around to roam
There was an old shed filled with antiques from era 1930 The first place I decided to explore, but all was quite *****
I saw comics, victrola, political buttons & furniture that was sturdy Sport cards, toys & stereoscope, I looked over in quite a hurry.
That was the place that had so much that I wanted to explore But my father always came to get me and drag me out the door
One day I came home from school and went to that old shed Only to open the door and find everything gone I felt dread
My father had cleared it all out without checking for cost The past was gone with many antiques that have been lost
I think back at the money that could have been made If my parents would insisted ifΒ Β everything had a grade

work in progress There was so much in that shed that I didn't list in my poem that I feel if sold it would have more than paid for the home my parents bought. There were old train sets, Knick knacks, milk bottles, jewelry, glass wear, tin and wooden, iron toys old radios, telephones victrola, stereoscope and a few other antiques I think were from the late 1800's and early 1900's.
