The birds that bear no burdens
Do not cry when they fall instead of soar
You will not see them gathered on your branches
They will not greet you when you walk outside your door

The birds that bear no burdens
Will not say where they are bound to fly
You will not hear them greet the morning
And they will not be there to say goodbye

The birds that bear no burdens
Will not occupy your view in the sky
For the birds that bear no burdens
Have much more freedom than you and I.
