The window of my dreams

Darkness fell on the room
Awaiting the days doom
Through the window the street light blared bright
The beginning of endless night
Twisted and turned in the bed
Watching through the window sleepless eyes red
Dark clouds hide the moon and star
Through the window of dreams looking far
Wars in tis world to end
Swords beaten to plough the hungry to spend
Humans in grief in poverty sold
The powerful thrive hearts turning cold
Through the window of dreams awaiting a bright new dawn
Laughter of children early morn
With the children father's play
Their mothers filled with joy sunny ray
Life not by bills to clear
Life lived in peace not a burden to bear
The night turn to dawn in the window of dreams
To tis real world the heart screams
War and famine did not end
Hatred fed in hearts humanity in spineless bend
The days pass in pain and automated task
Awaiting dark for the window of dreams truth without mask
