Clouds in My Mind
I felt my heart racing when I opened my eyes,
My thoughts rolled in like clouds in stormy skies.
I whispered a prayer and gasped for a breath,
The ache in my chest pleading softly for rest.
I grit my teeth tightly—determined to stand,
My heart crying out, held by a strand.
The weight on my shoulders, too heavy to bear,
This pain deep inside that never felt fair.
My heart once was his, but he tossed it aside
My mind still reeling from the promises that died.
The plans we once made for a future together
Still burn in my mind—what I thought was forever.
Swirling with turmoil, emotions collide—
I gave him my heart… now I’m empty inside.
But one day I’ll heal, and my heart will be stronger.
My thoughts won’t linger on him any longer.
I long for the day when his memory won’t sting
When I’ll rise in full bloom with the joy healing brings
