It'll be as it was
as it always is
In a blink of an eye
a mixture of melancholy, anxiety and apathy
that stunts
that corrupts
every thought I've had
and ever will have
into vile screeching vultures
that circle around
doves escaping inaction

And they spiral
moving in ellipses that eclipse
new moons
squeezing and wringing
every last drop of motivation
out of my weeping soul
In a flutter of an eye
the days bleed
and scream
into one another
till it is but one mare
In a starless night
