I bargained, I traded, and I sold.
I exchanged silver, land, and gold.
I shared my dreams, my poetry, and thoughts—
I was a professor, and I worshipped a false god.

And in all my lives that passed,
And the ones that are still to come,
I knew what I wanted to see last:
Your smile, full of love and warmth.

I traveled through this and others planes,
Waited for years in silent trance.
I knew your heart, and I remembered your eyes too—
They came to me in dreams, calling me back to you.
