The way goes on
how long depends

Everything depends on the..
...do I mean the ends?

Here and now
is
like there and then
but when
were we ever like that?

Waiting for sundown
hoping for sunrise
the mirror
watching my eyes
taking it in.

I’d open the door
but I’ve been here before
and so have you

we don’t remember
and
maybe that has a ring to it.
