Attend my bedside in the dying hours
Rage against my quiet embers?
Losing light, turning white and flakey in your hands
Hold on to mine before it disappears
Before I am nothing but an echo in your thoughts?
Slowly losing familiarity and sound
When body returns to dirt the hurt stays above ?
You tend to ere on the rumination,
Time stills the throbbing
I end up bobbing in the water hoping not to catch another
