When life's trials weigh on us, Lord,
Lighten them, send them far off:                      
When we're speaking to others,
Help us so that them we won't scoff.

Like you help us be gentle,
Help our hearts like yours show love:
The way that you are thoughtful,
Them, help us be thoughtful of.

When life feels it's near its end,
And things keep on going wrong:
Give us strength and wisdom Lord,
To live our lives so they're strong.

Lord, keep us safe in your sight,
Show us how we're to  live right.
