Moonlight scatters across the mire
Frost and moss beneath my feet
Solemn trees arch over the trail
Soft whispers in the canopies

I, the heavy-hearted traveller
Find no peace among the woods
For I've wandered off the starlit path
I took a wrong turn away from your light

And off I go now into the forest
Wordless bitterness entrenched within
A forlorn being now, silently floating
Among the dark woods that scarcely breathe
