A forgotten vacuum
Of 1 and negative infinity.
I want to be that emptiness —
The 0, the beautiful nothingness.

And what makes the 1 so good?
It loses the self in others’ light,
Even in a multiplication table.
I want to be the 0 —
A black hole
That makes all the lights a shadow.
