Do you remember our first date?

You wore your favorite red top and blue jeans. Your hair kept falling across your face, and your hairband — the one you always wore on your wrist — stayed right there.
How nervous we both were, trying hard to act calm, pretending we weren’t falling apart inside. But we were. And we both knew it.

Do you remember holding onto my arm as we crossed the road?

You were scared you’d get hit, so you jumped into me — and I pulled you in without a second thought.
Your soft little hands locked onto mine, like they belonged there.
Your fear, your laugh, your warmth — I remember it all.

Do you remember our first date at the museum?

Just the two of us. No crowd, no noise. Just stillness.
We walked in silence, looking at old things — but our eyes kept finding each other.
Every glance was electric.
I remember how close we stood, how close we wanted to be.
Every time we brushed past, my heart beat so loud I thought you’d hear it.
I remember that feeling like it was tattooed into me.

Do you remember the bar that evening?

How you stayed close to me, and I held you like you were made of glass and gold.
You smelled like sunshine. I probably smelled like a chimney — but you didn’t care.
I remember not wanting to leave.
I remember both of us wishing time would slow down, just once, just for us.

Do you remember when it was time to say goodbye?

I stroked your hair. Kissed you softly. I didn’t want to let you go.
I remember that moment like it never ended. Like a part of me stayed in that evening, frozen in time.

I remember..
I remember everything.
I remember the way you smiled.
The way you looked at me like you already knew.
I remember walking away with your scent still on my skin,
And smiling like an idiot for days — because it was you. Only you.

So tell me now…
Do you remember?
