Bitter night, resentful howls of the abyss
Once a frightening omen turned lifesaver,
Now your deafening silence once more plagues me

Why have you turned your back on me,
Why does your company now make my heart ache,
The sweet sound of relief, now turned to a bombarding reminder

In pursuit of the dawn, I said farewell to you
But the chaos of life has brought us back together
Despite the sun shining upon me, I feel no warmth nor hope

Bitter night, resentful howl of the abyss,
At least I still have you in this drowning solitude
The night always waiting to keep me company once the sun sets
Until eternity at long last binds us forever
