The first rain drop was like the first of many unforgettable memories
The sky was a pale white light, a peace offering from the dark
The storm broke the clouds much like our friendship, a hit at first pulse deep inside - it grew louder and realising it had never even been from outside
It's okay if the world doesn’t resonate with you, with us
It’s better than having the power of loneliness borrow joy
A stranger becomes one only when they are of silence and looks
Like the forgotten corners of your being and what state you used to be in
Our laughs fade in fragments and I wait 'til the light of day to see your smile again
But leave the pressure that was on your worldly wounds
You are your home and steady ground,
And if no-one’s there to hear you through the storm pass
Speak to your soul- it's always you and what you can reign over.
Hope you are well, my friend.
