You're gone and I can't rest without you
Nary a hair from your head to recount your last steps
Lost are marbles from a bag or a flame to the wind
But anything bearing the love of a mother must keep close

My numbered days spent endlessly searching for you
In some dark corner you wait for me
Where do you lie until I retrieve you
Your time extended indefinitely while gone from the world
That's how you make a ghost
