If you break your spuds
After the boil
Before the roast
Just a bit
With the back of a spoon
They will take on
A hidden flavour
More than
Salt
Oil
And vinegar can bloom
Soaking
And grinding in
With steam as an ally
Fluffing carbohydrates
I'll turn up the heat
Shall I?
