What happened when to whitch away
The ol’fashioned Barber Day
Jowl talk; wooden benches
The Barber Andy with the
Eternal Mystery Mirror
Andy gave a “Man’s Haircut”
To even a Four year old.

What happened when to whitch away
Saturday at Andy’s day
I hated Hair-cuts and only let
my dad take me down
“A man’s haircut, Andy please:
Leave the side-burns and
Pompadour the front
and can I have an extra piece of gum?”
It eases the burden of the hair-cut
a little.

What happened when to whitch away
those days that dallied
no longer linger
no more women come and go
talking of Michelangelo

What happened when to whitch away
The rationale that lent our stay.
