Triple the price was my neighbour
My inconsistent value punctures
Yesterday, my neighbour left this tiny cabin
And moved across the universe
My barks turned into wails, as
Angelina cleaned up after me
Wet dogs don’t go anywhere.
A filthy and bristled creature,
I am aware of my lottery ticket life
When will it be my turn? I watch this passerby film on repeat
Angelina will clean the glass today
Angelina will not clean me today
She brings in another couple whose
Loving demeanour I try to impersonate
Their penny gaze shoots past my cabin
Like a flickering flame. They kiss my other neighbour.
Kiss me
Kiss me
I don’t know you but I love you
Spare a glance, I’ll be good

They took him home, and I am a wet dog
Wet dogs don’t go anywhere
