First time theatrical performance
I didn’t know what to expect
Wondering how the audience would react
Under the spotlight, I seemed to sweat
Nervousness running through my body
Will I remember my script lines
Don’t let nerves enter the mind
I must do my best
Think on it like passing a test
As I began to perform, my nerves had turned into confidence
Enriched energy full of endurance
I visualized my name on the marquee
A star to be and become
I followed the script without fail
I was definitely fit for the part
This is just a start
Remembering encouragement from family and friends
When the finale came
The curtain came down and back up
Loud audience applause
Took a bow
Even got a standing ovation
Audience approved
I am now more than ever enthused
Theatrical agenda, I am ready to further explore.
