A fish and a bird may fall in love,
But where shall they live?
One swims below, one soars above
What home can love give?

"I'll build a nest where waves are mild”
the bird said with a hopeful smile.
"I'll find a stream that meets the land"
the fish replied a fin outstretched hand.

So where the river greets the sky,
They met each day as time passed by.
A love so pure, though worlds apart,
Yet bound by one unshaken heart.

For love will find a place to grow,
Between the earth, the sea, and snow.
A fish and a bird may fall in love
And where shall they live?
Only time will decide.
