Disappointments have come knocking down my door

I tried to shut them out but they charged into my home like flies on a mission

Filling every corner with their presence

I reasoned with them to let peace reign

Yet they greeted me with silence and despair.

So, I sat down and let them rampage every corner

Shadowing their movements and cleaning the shambles of broken pieces of anguish

With tears drowning my existence

I asked them to let me breathe

They smiled and said before we leave

We will sprinkle you with anxiety topped with fear

For we have visited your home and you have survived.
