is like a rubber glove
stretching over the skin
so, hidden is love
just an elastic shell
with rooms for fingers to dwell

This pain
is like a pair of dark sunglasses
blocking out the sunny skies
covering up weeping eyes

This pain
is like a cowboy boot
you can wear with dress or suit
tough as leather
weathering all the storms
in cross-stitching and high platforms
