Mar 2021
standing,
looking
in the glass?
I pass her
every day.
But I don’t ask
if she’s happy
with the life
she’s made.
I’m afraid.
She slips on
a saffron sweater.
And I see better
than to sprinkle
her head with
spicy questions.
